SUMMARY:TAPPA July Social @ Ricks on the River
DESCRIPTION:TAPPA Social at Rick’s on the River\nTuesday\, July 28th | 6:00 PM\nRick’s on the River\n2305 N Willow Ave\, Tampa\, FL 33607 \nJoin us for the next TAPPA Social as we gather at one of Tampa’s most legendary riverfront watering holes: Rick’s on the River. \nThis is not your quiet little tea-and-crumpets networking event. Rick’s is a true Tampa classic sitting right along the Hillsborough River\, complete with waterfront views\, cold drinks\, fresh seafood\, oysters\, live music\, boat slips\, outdoor seating\, and the kind of laid-back local character that makes a summer night feel like a proper Tampa adventure. \nArrive by car\, truck\, motorcycle\, boat\, paddleboard\, or possibly carrier pigeon\, though TAPPA makes no official guarantees regarding bird-based transportation. If you happen to arrive by vessel\, Rick’s even has a marina and wet slips\, which makes this one of the rare TAPPA events where “I came by boat” is both acceptable and mildly impressive. \nCome hang out with your fellow photographers\, videographers\, creatives\, image-makers\, gear-talkers\, story-swappers\, and occasional overthinkers of lens choice. No formal program. No speaker. No print competition. Just good people\, good conversation\, river air\, food\, drinks\, and a little bit of Tampa folklore. \nMembers\, guests\, spouses\, significant others\, photography friends\, video friends\, and well-behaved humans are welcome. Three-toed sloths remain questionable and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. \nMark your calendar\, bring your appetite\, and join us Tuesday\, July 28th at 6:00 PM at Rick’s on the River. \nRick’s official site lists the address as 2305 N Willow Ave\, Tampa\, FL 33607\, and describes the venue as a riverfront bar and grille with a marina\, wet slips\, live music\, oysters\, and cold drinks right on the river.

SUMMARY:TAPPA November Social at Rick’s on the River
DESCRIPTION:TAPPA November Social at Rick’s on the River \nJoin TAPPA for our November Social on Friday\, November 13\, at Rick’s on the River in Tampa. \nThis casual evening gathering brings TAPPA members together at one of Tampa’s classic waterfront spots\, set along the Hillsborough River where the city’s history\, working waterfront\, old stories\, and modern Tampa energy all seem to meet. Rick’s on the River has the kind of relaxed\, unmistakably local atmosphere that makes it a perfect place to gather outside of our regular meeting format. \n \nThe Hillsborough River has carried generations of Tampa stories through its winding path — from early settlements and cigar-era commerce to fishing boats\, riverfront landmarks\, downtown growth\, and countless evenings spent watching the water move under the fading light. Like many old waterways\, the river has its share of folklore: tales of mysterious currents\, dockside legends\, old Tampa characters\, hidden histories\, and stories passed from one generation to the next over a drink\, a meal\, or a long night by the water. \nOn this Friday the 13th evening\, we will gather where the river bends\, the boats pass by\, and the lights reflect across the water. It is the perfect setting for a TAPPA social with just the right mix of Tampa character\, waterfront charm\, and maybe even a little river mystery. \nMembers are invited to come relax\, connect\, and enjoy good conversation with fellow photographers\, videographers\, and creative professionals. Whether you are catching up with longtime TAPPA friends\, meeting newer members\, or simply enjoying an evening along the river\, this social is about community\, connection\, and taking time to enjoy one another outside the pace of business and regular meetings. \nRick’s offers a laid-back Tampa waterfront feel\, outdoor seating\, river views\, music\, food\, drinks\, and the kind of atmosphere that reminds you why Tampa’s riverfront has always been a place where people gather\, tell stories\, and make memories. \nDate: Friday\, November 13\nTime: TBD\nLocation: Rick’s on the River\, Tampa \nThere is no formal program for this event — just a relaxed TAPPA social evening with great company\, good conversation\, waterfront views\, and a little Friday the 13th river folklore in the air.
